The KameManNen 1221 is a square frame built from two layers: a thick metal rim on the outside and KameManNen’s own inner metal rim behind it. The double structure gives the shape weight and an intellectual look, with the construction itself as the design.
Sizes: 45 mm lens width, 24 mm bridge, 145 mm temples.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
