Most frames are one color, two at most. The Face a Face BLINK 2 tucks extra color into places you don’t expect: a block of contrast color where each arm meets the front, and another on the tips of the arms. Face a Face describes it as an optical illusion. Straight on, you barely notice it. From the side, you do.
Shape and size
The front is a soft geometric shape, somewhere between round and square. It measures 52-18-140, so 52 mm lenses, an 18 mm bridge and 140 mm arms. It’s full-rim acetate throughout, and Face a Face lists it as a women’s frame. The price is $622.
The lenses are 42 mm tall, which is on the generous side. If you wear progressives, that height gives the distance, middle and reading areas of the lens room to work.
The seven colors
All seven were in stock when we wrote this. The front is only part of each one, so here’s what happens at the corners and tips too.
- Violet Mauve Sombre (203): smoky violet front, striped olive arms, turquoise tips.
- Mandarin Crystal (0032): an almost clear front with a faint pink tint, red and navy at the corners, coral tips.
- Peach Transparent (3064): pale peach front, purple and red at the corners, multicolor arms, red tips.
- Transparent Striped Dark Green (1107): very dark green front, purple and teal at the corners, beige tortoise arms, teal tips.
- Red Transparent Tortoise (1074): red striped tortoise front, dark corners, clear pink arms, dark teal tips.
- Tortoise Duo Mauve (6200): a teal and pink tortoise, with pink tips.
- Havana Storm Tortoise (4861): brown and cream striped tortoise, teal at the corners, orange-brown tips.

If the side detail is what you like about this frame, a darker front like the Dark Green or the Violet Mauve Sombre makes the corners stand out more. For a lighter look overall, Mandarin Crystal and Peach Transparent are the softest of the seven.

Color is hard to judge on a screen, and this frame is mostly about color.
