The KameManNen 181 is a classic oval that combines titanium and acetate. On this version the bridge and the end pieces are made of modern titanium instead of the older cast parts, so the frame sits lighter on the face while keeping its vintage outline.
Sizes: 40 or 44 mm lens width, 24 mm bridge, 145 mm temples.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
