The KameManNen 139 uses a soft-rim construction, with an acetate ring set inside the metal rim, an idea no other frame had when it was introduced. Its rounded panto shape gives it a gentle, intelligent look that feels at home today.
Sizes: 43 mm lens width, 24 mm bridge, 143 mm temples.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
