The KameManNen 6146 sets a metal rim with a fine hexagonal (kikko) engraving into thick acetate. KameManNen’s own lens shape gives it a classic, refined look, and an inner rim lets it carry the brand’s adjustable nose pads, so it sits like a metal frame.
Sizes: 41 or 45 mm lens width, 25 mm bridge, 142 mm temples.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
