The KameManNen 99 SUN is the round 99 made as sunglasses. Because the frame is the same as the optical 99, KameManNen gives the sunglasses their character through the lenses: the outer edge of each lens is cut with a small step, which adds detail without losing the soft round look.
Size: 43 mm lens width, 22 mm bridge, 145 mm temples.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
