The KameManNen 6147 uses the brand’s own crown panto shape. A substantial acetate front is paired with a fine metal rim engraved with a turtle-shell (hexagon) pattern, and the nose pads can be adjusted precisely, so this acetate frame fits more like a metal one.
Sizes: 42 or 47 mm lens width, 24 mm bridge, temples 142 to 145 mm depending on size.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
