The KameManNen 114 is a wide square frame with a three-dimensional metal rim, built to hold thicker lenses neatly. Extra thickness in places gives the sharp outline some depth and softness, and the pad arms and nose pads are kept small, so the front looks clean and composed. It works as easily with a suit as with weekend clothes.
Sizes: 46 or 48 mm lens width, 22 mm bridge, 145 mm temples.
Also available: the 114 Clip sun clip and the 114 SUN sunglasses.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
