The KameManNen 9501 is a soft square with gently rounded corners, balancing straight lines and curves so it looks sharp without feeling stiff. The rim and the bridge are made as one piece with no welding at all, a slow method KameManNen chooses because it gives the front the look of a single, solid form.
Sizes: 48 mm lens width, 21 mm bridge, 145 mm temples.
About KameManNen: the company started in 1917 in Fukui, Japan, as a metal-plating workshop and, after the Second World War, became an eyewear maker in Sabae, the town at the heart of Japanese frame making. It is often called Japan’s oldest eyewear brand, and in 1981 it was the first in the world to make eyeglass frames from titanium. Frame colors come from metal plating and ion plating, a slow process chosen because the finish lasts.
